Before moving up to Larder Lake, ON, in Aug. 2023, we lived in Barrie for 11 years. Having both worked for the same company for 25 years, we decided we had passed our "best before" dates. We quit our jobs, sold the house in Barrie, and semi-retired.
Before moving up to Larder Lake, ON, in Aug. 2023, we lived in Barrie for 11 years. Having both worked for the same company for 25 years, we decided we had passed our "best before" dates. We quit our jobs, sold the house in Barrie, and semi-retired.
We moved North for a quieter & more affordable lifestyle. With our newfound freedom, we had the headspace to put our energies into something completely different and out of our comfort zone.
We have been making butter tarts for family + friends for years, starting with a recipe we found in a cookbook. Never satisfied with the finished product, we kept experimenting with methods until something felt just like us.
On Jan 5th, 2024, we finally decided to listen to all our friends + family and start selling our butter tarts. We pride ourselves on being 100% homemade. We're not Bar-coded, but we are MOM-Coded!

Not only are these the best butter tarts you’ll ever have (especially the coffee), but the two owners are a couple of the nicest people you will ever meet.
